German School Shanghai re-launched |
|
mediaman just launched the new website for the German School Shanghai.
Only founded in 1995, the school is the biggest and fastest-growing German-speaking institute in a foreign country, with currently 850 students on 2 campuses. As for the German economy, the institute is a decisive factor and so supported and approved by the German government.
Besides planning, designing and developing the new online presence, mediaman's role was to consult the German school with questions in presenting the corporate image. The logo, finalised by mediaman, was originally drafted in a moderated workshop, where students were asked to create a symbol for their school. mediaman then developed the complete corporate identity, including logo, applications and the new claim 'Gemeinsam wagen. Geborgen wachsen.'
The website's main approach was to channelize the information for different target groups (employees, students, parents, ...), but also to create a working tool which can be integrated into everyday school life. mediaman therefore built color schemes for the different school departments, and even created some designated 'cool' areas for the students. The website provides all updated daily information and will so replace the traditional 'school blackboard'
The whole website is based on the CMS Typo3, giving the staff of the German School the opportunity to update the whole website by themselves. Customized modules were developed to create a user-friendly and interactive interface, as for example, each page is showing an individual contact person. With this innovative website, the German School has reinforced its positioning as a future-oriented institution.
