The Client
Deutsche Bank Bauspar AG is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank and is one of the 10 largest private building and loan associations in Germany.

The Task
Develop an online portal for end customers and customer advisors using shared technology, but having specific features and content. Program intelligent functions for parallel communication between advisors and end customers. Integrate interactive cost calculators and advisor content specific to target groups.

Communication Architecture
Store role-related applications for advisors and customers in a content management system. Determine the needs of both groups in advance through usability tests (individual interviews). Advisor content, calculators and contracts were customized and implemented accordingly. All links for advisors on the website lead to interactive calculation modules. With the modules, the user can calculate, for instance, the individual costs for renovation, the amount of government financial assistance or the amount of building loan investment that is ideal for him or her. Under the section called “My Contract,” existing customers can view current data and make changes.

The Benefits
Advisor and interaction processes are transferred to the customer in the Internet application. Potential customers can learn about complex subjects in advance and make more informed investment decisions. In the future, customers will be able to view their contracts online and calculate potential contract changes themselves. The area used by advisors provides support for customer advisors and sales partners, who will be able to process and respond to customer questions faster and more efficiently in the future. Future updates will take place using a software rollout over the Internet.
